I know I haven't posted any pictures of us yet, but it seriously took this one like 20 minutes to load...and it's my favorite!
We're kind of having a difficult day. Everyday we think we've made some progress and then we get told something different from Social Welfare. It's a bit frustrating, but I still feel like this is where we are meant to be. Please pray for us alot. There's been another "hangup" and the children we thought we'd get to meet today have to be cleared by someone other than the person we were told at first so...AHHHHHH! "That's all I have to say about that."

Praying for you guys! The good news is that it's TOTALLY normal and par for the course. Doesn't make it less frustrating I (truly) know! We ended up adjusting our expectations to 1 American day equals about 1 Zambia week! Between that and prayer, we managed to avoid high blood pressure ;)

ReplyDeletehi! i just wanted to let you know i'm following you now. my friends missy and jeremiah met you in lusaka this week (they live near livingston and are also trying to adopt in zambia) and sent me a link to your blog. my husband and i, along with a fwe other families in our church family here, are considering pursuing a zambian adoption. so your journey is encouraging to me.
ReplyDeleteAND, i've spent JUST enough time in zambia, zimbabwe, and india to know that in the developing world this wildly differing perspective on TIME is just about enough to drive a westerner mad. i sympathize. i can only imagine how heightened the frustration is when you are waiting on something that is so deeply and personally significant (your future children!). bless you. carry on!
What funny sign. I definitely know your frustrations with the delays and timing of everything. We are going through that right now as well as we wait for our travel dates. I'm praying for you.
